Post-doctoral position for synthesis of bioactive macromolecules is immediately available in the laboratory of Prof. Kathryn Uhrich at Rutgers University.

An opening for a Postdoctoral Associate to synthesize and characterize novel polymers is available immediately. This position is NIH funded and focuses on the design, synthesis and characterization of amphiphilic macromolecules for inhibiting atherosclerosis.  This project is collaborative with Prof. Prabhas Moghe (Biomedical Engineering, Rutgers), thus the candidate should demonstrate initiative and an ability to work well with other chemists, bioengineers, and clinicians.

The position requires a PhD in organic, medicinal chemistry or related fields. Expertise in organic synthetic methods is required, as are excellent writing and oral communication skills.  Experience in polymer synthesis and characterization is preferred, as is experience with biologically active molecules.  The project requires interactions with industrial collaborators and technology transfer.  The appointment is for one year, and renewable for a second year. Interested applicants should send their cover letter, list of 3 references and CV to:
